　　托福閱讀題型中中句子簡(jiǎn)化題考查的對(duì)象是長(zhǎng)難句，主要考查考生對(duì)句子邏輯關(guān)系的把握及句子基本信息的理解。句子簡(jiǎn)化題出題方式：

　　Which of the sentences below best expresses the essential information in the highlighted sentence in the passage? Incorrect choices change the meaning in important ways or leave out essential information.

　　下面通過(guò)具體例子來(lái)說(shuō)明句子簡(jiǎn)化題做題步驟及新托福閱讀技巧。

　　例1

　　Perhaps, like many contemporary peoples, Upper Paleolithic men and women believed that the drawing of a human image could cause death of injury, and if that were indeed their belief, it might explain why human figures are rarely depicted in cave art.
