GMAT考試邏輯題有五大考點(diǎn)，當(dāng)中有一個(gè)特殊題型，與其他四個(gè)考點(diǎn)出題形式都不同，同時(shí)又是很多同學(xué)屢做屢錯(cuò)的考點(diǎn)那就是Boldface題。

　　Boldface題俗稱：黑體題、黑臉題、BD題、BF題

　　Boldface題標(biāo)志性特征：加粗部分。

　　Boldface考察方向：考察黑體字部分在文中起到的作用，需要對(duì)文章整體進(jìn)行把握。

　　它的原文論述通常很長很復(fù)雜，用詞也比較晦澀，但它的選項(xiàng)里卻幾乎不涉及任何原文討論的內(nèi)容，而更多關(guān)注到原文論述的推理結(jié)構(gòu)，這個(gè)題型就是boldface黑體題。

　　很多同學(xué)在做題的時(shí)候最怕面對(duì)這個(gè)題型，因?yàn)樗恼撌鐾ǔ?fù)雜難懂。但其實(shí)掌握了技巧之后，黑體題也并沒有那么可怕。

　　題型識(shí)別

　　黑體題的識(shí)別是非常輕松的問法非常單一，通常都會(huì)這樣提問：

　　In the argument given, the two portions in boldface play which of the following roles?

　　直接看原文的話你也會(huì)看到非常明顯的兩句話被加粗加黑了，在題目中看到了加粗加黑的部分，那么你面對(duì)的一定是一道boldface題目。

　　解題步驟

　　1、找論點(diǎn)--找出全文核心論點(diǎn)，讀出轉(zhuǎn)折含義，核心論點(diǎn)通常躲在轉(zhuǎn)折之后和句尾。

　　2、理結(jié)構(gòu)--理清楚一道Boldface題的結(jié)構(gòu)，注意不是黑體句子的結(jié)構(gòu)，而是整個(gè)一段話的結(jié)構(gòu)，尤其要知道這段話中結(jié)論在何處。

　　3、看屬性--看黑體本身在結(jié)構(gòu)中的位置，是背景、條件還是結(jié)論。

　　4、判關(guān)系--看boldface句同前后句的關(guān)系，推出兩個(gè)boldface句之間的邏輯關(guān)系;前一半BF, 是一個(gè)假設(shè)? 或者是一個(gè)中間結(jié)論?

　　如果體會(huì)出是一個(gè)假設(shè), 那么選項(xiàng)中說第一部分是其他什么的,就被排除了。沒有什么必殺選項(xiàng)只有理解文章才可以。

　　例如：

　　Conclusion：作者的結(jié)論和主張

　　引導(dǎo)詞：conclusion, conclude, assert that, think that, claim, position, it can be made that... consequently, obviously, clearly, hence, therefore, thus...

　　premise：證明(事實(shí)或主張)的證據(jù)

　　引導(dǎo)詞：because of, since, due to, as a result of

　　Intermediate Conclusion支持最終結(jié)論的小結(jié)論

　　Counterpoint：違背作者的結(jié)論

　　background：為論點(diǎn)設(shè)置的背景

　　Consideration：做判斷時(shí)要考慮的一個(gè)因素

　　Evidence：有助于形成結(jié)論或判斷

　　judgment：有主觀判斷的，一種推斷出來的依據(jù)

　　引導(dǎo)詞：it is fause/ ill concieved; it should be rejected as... / no longer required, it is unjustified, it is reasonable.....

　　例題講解

　　Plant scientists have used genetic engineering on seeds to produce crop plants that are highly resistant to insect damage. Unfortunately, the plants require more fertilizer and water to grow well than normal ones do, and the seeds themselves are quite expensive, and for most farmers the savings on pesticides would not compensate for the higher seed costs and the cost of additional fertilizer. However, since consumer demand for grains, fruits, and vegetables grown without the use of pesticides continues to rise, the use of genetically engineered seeds of this kind is likely to become widespread.

　　In the argument given, the two portions in boldface play which of the following roles?

　　A.The first presents a development that the argument seeks to show will have certain disadvantages; the second is introduced as a consideration likely to offset one of those disadvantages.

　　B.The first presents a development that the argument predicts will have a certain impact; the second acknowledges a consideration that weighs against that prediction.

　　C.The first supplies a context for the argument; the second is a part of the evidence presented as support for the argument's conclusion.

　　D.The first is evidence provided to support an intermediate conclusion that is drawn in support of the argument’s main conclusion; the second is that intermediate conclusion.

　　E.The first and the second each provide evidence in support of the argument’s main conclusion.
