GMAT寫作考試的題目是官方公布過的, 題目的考核目的是為了考核學(xué)生對已有篇章對論據(jù)和結(jié)論直接對邏輯嚴謹性是否理解, 同時對這個論證進行分析,找出邏輯的推理方式及證據(jù)使用的問題, 簡單來說考核3個基本能力,理解、分析和評估的能力。

即便是題庫公布了，還是有很多學(xué)生無法理解原文論證中要考核的知識點是什么，這里理解原文不是簡單的字面意思，而是論證過程和篇章中存在的邏輯關(guān)系。理解和分析過程中，考生經(jīng)常會忽略很多邏輯關(guān)系，舉個例子，下面這道題目就是來自官方公布的題庫，題目包括第一句出處，也僅僅有3句話，但就在3句話中，很多同學(xué)都會忽略或者沒有意識到其中的邏輯推斷關(guān)系。

請大家先讀完下面這道題目，再看我下面簡單提及的一個考點：

The following appeared in a memorandum from the business department of the Apogee Company.

When the Apogee Company had all its operations in one location, it was more profitable than it is today. Therefore, the Apogee Company should close down its field offices and conduct all its operations from a single location. Such centralization would improve profitability by cutting costs and helping the company maintain better supervision of all employees.

讀完第一句話“When the Apogee Company had all its operations in one location, it was more profitable than it is today.”在很多考生的腦海里會有兩個信息，公司在一個地方運營，以及比起今天公司盈利更多。讀完獲取完兩個信息，大家經(jīng)常忽略的一點是這句話中兩個信息是什么邏輯關(guān)系呢？答案是因果關(guān)系，為什么是因果關(guān)系，要看第二句話也就是結(jié)論 “Therefore, the Apogee Company should close down its field offices and conduct all its operations from a single location.”結(jié)論中講到要繼續(xù)使用這種方法，這個結(jié)論就存在這一個對于第一句信息的重要的假設(shè)：one location這個方法是有效的，所以要繼續(xù)實行。

這個時候同學(xué)們可以思考一下，當(dāng)假設(shè)這個方法是有效的時候，其實就是在呈現(xiàn)一個因果關(guān)系需要我們?nèi)シ治?，one location是不是導(dǎo)致 more profit的唯一或者真正原因呢？這就是我們需要讀完題分析出來的一個因果問題，并且寫出可能倒是more profit這個結(jié)果的其他可能因素，當(dāng)然這些因素沒有出現(xiàn)在題目當(dāng)中，要考生自己想出合理的其他原因，這也是GMAT寫作評分有一個重要的考察點。
